1. First on the Dallas Mavericks' free agent agenda is re-signing center Tyson Chandler.

2. Texas Rangers notes: Greg Maddux is joining his brother Mike to become the Rangers' special assistant to the general manager.

3. Dallas Cowboys notes: Because of fullback Tony Fiammetta's illness, the Cowboys cut receiver/returner Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and will sign fullback Shaun Chapas off the practice squad.

4. Scouting the Arizona Cardinals: Kevin Kolb is expected to start at quarterback after missing four games with a foot injury.

5. TCU can win its third consecutive conference championship on Saturday. On Sunday, the Horned Frogs will learn their bowl destination, with Las Vegas, San Diego and Shreveport appearing to be the most likely spots.

6. TCU coach Gary Patterson has yet to decide if kicker Ross Evans, who was arrested Nov. 21, will play in Saturday's game against UNLV.

1. With a four-game winning streak and now alone in first place, the Dallas Cowboys are building toward a playoff run.

2. Cowboys notes: Safety Gerald Sensabaugh was determined to play against the Miami Dolphins despite suffering a sprained foot.

3. Cowboys notes: Receiver Laurent Robinson, who caught two touchdown passes, takes responsibility for one of Tony Romo's two interceptions.

3. Dallas Stars 4, Edmonton Oilers 1: With their new owner in the house, the Stars ended their five-game losing streak.

5. Dallas Cowboys nose guard Jay Ratliff is thriving in Rob Ryan's defensive schemes.

Monday's Pick 6

Six links to click before heading to the water cooler:

1. Dallas Cowboys 27, Washington Redskins 24 (OT): The Redskins drove the length of the field to tie the game with 14 seconds left. Then after the Redskins missed a 52-yard field goal in overtime, Dan Bailey booted a 39-yarder to give the Cowboys a three-game winning streak.

2. Gil LeBreton: Thanks to a couple of big breaks, the Cowboys managed to escape their pesky rivals.

3. Cowboys notes: Tony Romo now knows how many timeouts teams receive in overtime.

4. TCU notes: Linebacker Tank Carder is healthy now and back to making the big plays the Horned Frogs are accustomed to seeing him make.

5. Jimmy Burch: Even if Texas A&M loses its final two games to finish 6-7, it appears unlikely that coach Mike Sherman would be fired.

6. A dramatic NASCAR Chase for the Cup ended with Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards finishing 1-2 in the final race and tied for first in points. But Stewart took the points championship on a tie-breaker.
