The first inaugural Hella Shrine Classic was held at RPM Speedway - Texas Friday night. The Shriners were trying to raise money for the Shriner’s Children Hospital. A nice crowd was on hand and four classes of cars were competing for cash and prizes. Several sponsors stepped up and added more money to the purses. In the A & H Electrical Services USRA Modifieds, $1,000 was up for grabs to the feature winner. “Lil Freaky” Clyde Dunn, No. 88xxx, was the local favorite having won the last two Modified features. Clyde started on the fourth row outside in the 20-lap A-main. It took him several laps into the feature, but he powered his way past Cody Smith, No. 18s, for the lead and the $1,000 feature win. Charlie Smith, No. 3c, ended up second, Wesley Veal, No. 11x, was third, Cody Smith, No. 18s, settled for fourth and Lee McCullough, No. 613, was fifth. Knight, Jackson, Ruffin, Thomas and Plant rounded out the top ten. This was Clyde Dunn Jr's third feature win in-a-row. Leoplolos, Jones, Reynolds, Manning, and Fetty rounded out the top ten. Eleven Modifieds started the feature.

Sprint Car Winner: In the Graham Wrecker Service USA Sprint $700 to win feature, Robert "V8" Vetter, No. v8, was the run-a-way winner. Raven Culp, No. 3c, was second, Logan Payne, No. 2, was third, Michelle Melton, No. 21, was fourth and Dale Wester, No. 12w, was fifth. Graham, McDonald, Baccus, Ricketts, and Hall rounded out the top ten. Eleven Sprints started the feature.

USA Limited Modified Winner: In the Graham Energy Limited Modified $700 to win feature, Tommy Davis Jr., No. 17, held off the field to take the win. Jason Troutman, No. 1*, was second, Albert McCall Jr., No. 30, was third, Scott Prather, No. 22, was fourth and Tony Yant, No. 00, was fifth. Fifteen cars started the feature.

Factory Stock Winner: HoneyCutt Sand & Gravel Factory Stock $500 to win feature, Mike Smith, No. 21m, had the car to beat. Jason Troutman, No. 1*, was second, Chris Davis, No. 98, was third, Tommy McKinley, No. 98, was fourth and James Riddle, No. 14, was fifth. Fifteen cars started the feature.
