Anthony Andro grew up in Richardson and Plano as a huge fan of both the Rangers and the Cubs. He’s been at plenty of memorable Rangers games - including Nolan Ryan’s 5000th strikeout, Rafael Palmeiro’s 500th home run and Sammy Sosa’s 600th home run – all as a fan. After attending his dream World Series pitting the Cubs and the Rangers in the summer of 2007, he took over as one of the Rangers beat writers for the Star-Telegram.
Jeff Wilson grew up in Denver, before Major League Baseball expanded to the Mile High City. One of the first major-league games he saw in person was Game 6 of the 1985 World Series -- the game the Royals won because of a blown call at first base by umpire Don Denkinger. Beyond that trip, Wilson had to turn to cable television, baseball cards and spring-training vacations to get his fill of baseball. He's got that now as one of the Rangers beat writers for the Star-Telegram.
