I just got off the phone with one of my favorite former Rangers, German Duran, who was claimed by the Astros today. Duran said he was bummed when he was put on the waivers by the Rangers last week and thought someone would pick him up. He was right, as the Astros did Tuesday. "It's a new start for me and hopefully it will be the start of a good one there," Duran said. "I really wanted to stay here. I was a Rangers fan growing up." Duran will spend the next couple of weeks on the Astros' disabled list and then likely head to Round Rock for a rehab assignment. He hopes to be with the Astros some time after the All-Star break. Duran will fly to Houston Thursday to sign his paperwork. He wished everyone that supported him with the Rangers well. It's been a rough season for Duran. He was an early spring training cut and then struggled at Triple A. He then went on the DL with a rib injury. As he was returning from that, his appendix nearly ruptured, forcing him to have surgery in Arizona. He said he's feeling better now.

You guys are writers for a living and almost like clockwork your posts have typos.

Maybe there isn't an editor reading their stuff on this blog thingy like there is for the newspaper. They're writers, not editors. Editors can't think, they just edit. Writers think but don't always put it down that wayss.

No man, they laid the editors off earlier in the year or bought them out. LOL.
