The Rangers were one out away from a series victory and a half-game deficit in the AL West, but Juan Rivera swatted a three-run homer off Frank Francisco to tie the game at 7-7 and force the Rangers to bat in the bottom of the ninth. Francisco struggled with his control, walking two after Chone Figgins was thrown out trying to stretch a double into a triple to start the inning. Francisco has blown saves in his past two opportunities.

Ron Washington is to blame. He doesn't know when to pull and when to leave a pitcher in. Chris Wilson just got done striking out 3 in the previous inning and he pulls him. What a retard. Come on this isn't rocket science.

I agree Brian. I also can't understand why when a pitcher blows up Washington will leave him in until the Rangers are 6 or 7 runs behind before he pulls him, like he did with Holland the other night.
