The Rangers have signed Eddie Guardado to a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to spring training. The deal could pay the left-hander more than $3 million if he makes the big-league roster -- which is very likely -- and meets all performance incentives.
Good news for all of you Bryan Corey fans. The pitcher who was sent to Boston for Luis Mendoza is back, though he won't be in big-league camp. Corey will be in minor-league camp even though he has a big-league track record (4-4 with a 5.13 ERA in 91 career relief appearances since 1998).
