Rangers hire Moore, Anderson

The Rangers announced that they have hired Jackie Moore to be their bench coach and Dave Anderson as their third-base coach. Two spots remain open on manager Ron Washington's staff -- pitching coach and bullpen coach. A conference call is pending.

Moore, the Astros' bench coach in 2008 and a longtime friend of Nolan Ryan, has been the No. 1 target since Art Howe's contract was not renewed after the season. Anderson came into the mix recently. The Rangers' minor-league field coordinator interviewed Monday.
