Jason Ellison is your new outfielder

David Murphy is on the disabled list with a right knee sprain and the veteran Ellison is his replacement. The Rangers freed up another roster spot by moving A.J. Murray to the 60-day disabled list. Ellison is hitting .242 with two home runs, 44 RBI and 62 runs scored for Triple-A Oklahoma. The Rangers went with the veteran Ellison over former first rounder John Mayberry Jr. Ellison provides more speed, but Mayberry has more power. Texas manager Ron Washington said he really only considered Ellison.
