Rangers bring up Loe and Diaz
The Rangers have recalled Kam Loe from Oklahoma and purchased the contract of reliever Joselo Diaz from Frisco to give them fresh arms for the series against the Chicago White Sox. Texas options Wes Littleton to Oklahoma and Scott Feldman to Frisco. Feldman will be eligible to come back July 21 in Chicago, but the Rangers are unsure if he'll come back as a starter or a reliever. That's the surprise considering he's been their most effective starter for the last month. But the Rangers want to limit Feldman to around 135 innings this season and he's already at 87 2/3. Loe had been on the disabled list with back spasms, but has thrown a pair of bullpen sessions. Diaz has been in the organization for a month after he was released by the Mets organization. He was part of the Rangers system in 2006, but was traded to Kansas City as part of the Matt Stairs deal.
