Harrison to debut

General manager Jon Daniels met with manager Ron Washington to determine the direction the Rangers will head with their beat-up rotation during the biggest series of the season. The only decision made Monday is that Matt Harrison will make his major-league debut Tuesday against the Angels in place of Eric Hurley.

Hurley, who is suffering from a hamstring injury, hasn't been placed on the DL, and the hope is he can avoid a stint. Ditto for Vicente Padilla, who has a bad right thumb. No decision has been made on his status for Wednesday's start.

The Rangers still have to make a roster move before Tuesday's game to make room for Harrison.
