Catcher Gerald Laird has left the game after suffering a strained right hamstring in the fourth inning. He had just laid down a bunt and was racing to beat the throw of third baseman Kory Casto. Laird did that, but he started to pull up before hitting the bag. He was replaced by Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
