Barnes out, Lehtinen ?

Jere Lehtinen did not skate this morning, which led us to figure he was out. Not necessarily, said Dave Tippett this morning. Apparently, Lehtinen is questionable right up until game time. He got treatment this morning, so I guess we'll see tonight.

Stu Barnes is out. Did not skate and we were told that yesterday.
It looks like Chris Conner will be out there tonight. He left a big impression on Mike Modano during training camp, when Modano called him a Theo Fleury-type player.

No Stu tonight

Stu Barnes did not make the trip with the team, as he's still working through some concussion-like symptoms. Coach Dave Tippett said Barnes worked out on the bike on Thursday, but didn't feel like he could be a player. So he stayed home. The Stars will get through his loss just fine, as long as they stay out of the penalty box. They can't be doing that again, with one of their best penalty killers out.

Everyone has to pick up the Stu slack, however. He does so many little things out there. We'll see how the Stars adjust.

Barnes out tonight

Stu Barnes is out for tonight's game after his collision with Jonathan Cheechoo in Game 3. He's listed as day to day, so we'll see if they can get through this one without him. Toby Petersen is back in. The Stars are rolling seven defensemen again, too.

Starting line is Eriksson-Richards-Lundqvist. Starting defensemen are Nicklas Grossman and Stephane Robidas.

Ott, thanks to STUUUU

Stu1 Stu Barnes just stripped Ducks defenseman Kent Huskins on this one, and Steve Ott is the happy recipient. Barnes and Ott had the 2 on 1, and Barnes made the last-minute pass to Ott, who beat Giguere through the wickets for a 3-0 advantage.

OK, folks, you can exhale now.

Definitely STUUU-ing

Stu2 Stu Barnes puts the Stars up 2-0, thanks to a great pass from Mike Modano. It was Mo's pass to Barnes, who somehow broke free of everyone and had a 1 on 1 with Giguere. Barnes won it, beating Giguere 5-hole for the 2-0 advantage. I honestly couldn't even tell you the friggin' time on it.

Anyway, let's watch the fun.

STUUUUU!

The Stars talk about getting breaks their way. They got a nice one here. Stu Barnes' shot caroms off the leg of Kings defenseman Kevin Dallman and in as the Stars take a 2-1 lead just 16 seconds into the second. Mike Modano and Mattias Norstrom on the assists.

The Stars just got whistled for too many men on the ice.. Kings power play commencing.
