Dave Tippett was in no mood to discuss potential lineup changes after last night's game and I won't see these lads until before tonight's contest in the cozy confines of the Staples Center, but after a night's sleep, I have a strange idea.
Why not treat this as a bad practice drill, blow your whistle and shout out, ``Run it again.''
Is there any real benefit of putting in Marty Turco, Mark Parrish and Landon Wilson tonight?
Well, yes, there is that pesky thing about being professional and trying to win every game and not officially being eliminated from the playoffs yet...but from a selfish standpoint, don't you want to see how players such as Fabian Brunnstrom, Tom Wandell and, especially, Tobias Stephan react?
Here was Stephan's quote from after the game against the Coyotes, where he allowed six goals on 33 shots.
``I'm pretty sure that if I get one or two games, my game is getting better,'' Stephan said of his hope he will play again this season. ``I got to play five games in one and a half weeks (in the AHL), so I got a pretty good rhythm there. So I'm actually still pretty confident that I can do the same thing.''
The rantings of a desperate young man? Or a pretty good idea?

They are not getting in the playoffs, so give more guys ice time. What's it going to hurt? Lose a game? Give us a break.
