Lundqvist, Brunnstrom on IR

Ah, another day another injury as the topic of discussion. Joel Lundqvist (shoulder) and Fabian Brunnstrom (lower body) have been placed on injured reserve retroactive to the dates of their injuries (Brunnstrom on Dec. 27, and Lundqvist on Dec. 20).

Looks like this is mainly to give the Stars some wiggle room and they'll probably call someone up tomorrow (my guess). Not expecting to hear anything new today. As far as Brunnstrom, that day-to-day status doesn't seem like it would be day-to-day. I would think longer. Saw him last night in the press box and he's still walking around in that boot.

Past that, a very, very quiet day out at Stars land. They had an optional, and I think there may have been about 10 guys out there (the fourth line, Toby Petersen, Matt Niskanen, Nicklas Grossman, Tobias Stephan, Andrew Hutchinson). Dave Tippett was also out ill today. Like I said, very, very quiet.
