My apologies, folks, but I know you can relate to what I'm about to type. You've all had one of those days when, you got plenty done, but it took you out of the loop for way too long (i.e., the blog). Anyway, my apologies. The day got away from me a bit.
Onto updates... No Jere Lehtinen this morning, so no Jere Lehtinen tonight.
James Neal is pretty excited about playing tonight. He'll have some family in the AAC crowd (parents and godparents), so the kid's got even more reason to come out strong. I'm thinking we'll like what we see from this guy.
Fabian Brunnstrom is a healthy scratch tonight. You could tell he was disappointed, but he understands the adjustment process that's going to have to come. I asked him about how much he's absorbed thus far. He said it's been pretty good, but he wonders if he's thinking too much about everything when he's out there. Could be, but it's hard not to be thinking too much when you're trying to adapt to the North American game. We'll see how he progresses.
Well, it's about that time, kids. We'll see you soon enough at the AAC.
Oh, my pregame question: What are you most looking forward to seeing tonight? Avery's debut? Neal's? Brad Richards with a Stars preseason under his belt? Ice Girls?
Let's hear from ya.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Morrow/Ribeiro chemistry again, seeing Neal's first game. I can't imagine how it feels to be playing your first NHL game with someone that is going to be an NHL HoF'er. And of course seeing how Avery does with his new team.

I know it's the first game, but I want to see how well everyone meshes together. Passing, hitting, covering for each other, and of course have they got a grasp of the power play yet. Guess that kinda covers much of the game.
