The golden ticket

Here's a refreshing note from the world of pro sports: Some ticket prices are going down.

That's right. They're being lowered. Decreased. Dropping. Stars president Jeff Cogen talked today about upper-bowl prices being cut to the price they were when the Stars won the Stanley Cup in 1999. We're talking Reunion Arena prices here, folks. Good stuff.

Now, the ASTERISK: Full-season ticket packages only. Still, it ain't too shabby. Also, the lower bowl prices will be the same next season and there'll be perks (passes to VIP lounges and invites to other special events).

Aah, if only the guys running the gas pumps had the same thought.
