According to Espn's Adam Schefter, Mike Shanahan is not interested in the Cowboys head coaching job. You know the one that is not open. The one that already has a coach in it _a head coach whose team just beat the undefeated Saints. This report comes a day after Fox's Jay Glazer reported that the Cowboys aren't interested in Shanahan.
No wonder Wade Phillips is paranoid. But who do you believe?
Me, I believe both of them. The Cowboys don't want Shanahan right now partly because Wade Phillips has them in the thick of the NFC East title chase and looking like a possible contender for more if they can build on their performance against the Saints. Owner Jerry Jones is focused on the here and now. He wants the Cowboys to win this season. He is not thinking about much else.
Also, Shanahan knows he can't get complete control over personnel in Dallas so it makes sense that he would probably focus on the Washington job. It's interesting that the Schefter report came out one day after Glazer's. Think there might be a little posturing going on?

Do you mean posturing? I know this is a blog entry read by very few people. But I see the wrong word used at least once per posting. Once in a while in a blog posting with no line editing backup might be ok, but how in the hell do you get a job at a major metro daily with such poor word comprehension? You might be the nicest guy in the world, and maybe you make up for the writing skills with great reportage and knowledge of football. But this kind of stuff embarrasses you and your organization.

There will never be a cows strong HC with personnel control as long as Jaharry is the owner. Fact is he is the owner/GM/HC, except the HC is not listed for public display, because he has to have someone to blame/fire for the non-play off wins.
