Splint-less Romo
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has ditched the splint on his injured right pinkie. Romo practiced Monday without the brace and is not expected to wear it against the Steelers on Sunday. He has worn it the past three games since his return Nov. 16. Since coming back, Romo is 3-0 and posted 300-yard games in consecutive outings against San Francisco and Seattle.
Romo suffered the non-displaced fracture on Oct. 12 vs. Arizona and said after the game on Thanksgiving it was close to 100 percent. He has wanted to shed the splint for a couple of weeks but it was still needed for protection until the pinkie was healed.
