Big Ben no interest in being celeb QB like....

Steelers quarterback Ben Roesthlisberger almost slipped this morning on his conference call with the Dallas media. While talking about not having any interest in being a celebrity QB, ones who are splashed on magazine covers and being trailed by TMZ, he offered this....

"I'm just a quarterback. Football is what I do, it's not who I am. I don't want to be a celebrity quarterback like...."

Like who, Ben?

"Oh no, I didn't say like."

Right.

Let's finish that sentence for Big Ben...."celebrity quarterback like -- Tony Romo."

That's just silly. All NFL quarterbacks are celebrities. "Celebrity quarterbacks" are just the ones who become more popular with the press outside of sports, but that doesn't happen unless you are at least a pretty good quarterback first.
