Cowboys receiver Isaiah Stanback says he is ready to play and be the No. 3 wideout on Sunday despite his injured left shoulder. He will be forced to play with a shoulder harness all season for support and it does cause him some restriction with his left arm.
Stanback is also holding off on surgery he needs until the offseason, like he had last year on the same shoulder. But Stanback said he does not risk further damage to the shoulder. He may just have to deal with it popping in and out -- ouch.
Stanback will deal with this all season but says he could be able to return to kickoff duty at some point. From my coaching seat, I don't think that would be a good idea. Could he continue to handle the hits and falling on the shoulder? Sounds bad to me.
