Texas and Texas Tech officials have moved their 2009 game in Austin to Sept. 19 to make it an ABC prime-time national telecast. The contest will kick off at 7 p.m. and will be the Big 12 opener for both schools.
To facilitate the date change, Texas officials swapped the dates of home football games involving Tech and Central Florida. The Central Florida game moves to Nov. 7, the original date for the Tech-Texas game.
In addition, Texas officials announced that ESPN has selected the Texas-Texas A&M contest as a prime-time telecast on Thanksgiving night for a second consecutive season. The contest in College Station will kick off at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26.
