I'm guessing as long as Gary Patterson is coach at TCU, I'll be going through this every year about this time...
Today I'm hearing there are rumors that Patterson talked with Clemson yesterday, and Patterson just told me that that is "absolutely false."
He was at the TCU women's basketball game last night, and he's planning on spending a few days for Thanksgiving with his two younger sons beginning tonight.
"I'm just telling you they're doing the same thing Kansas State did," said Patterson, referring to the report a couple of weeks ago that Patterson was going to be the Wildcats' next coach. Bill Snyder was introduced as K-State's head coach on Monday.
Check back in for more details, although hopefully we'll all have a nice, peaceful Thanksgiving!

It'd be nice if those Kansas State "reporters" would take a lesson from this.
Thank you Mercedes for actually going to the source and getting an answer.

it appears that - journalism, the FWST and college confidential don't go hand-n-hand. - get wrong enough times and you wont have any cred or a webpage or a paper.
RIP - 08 journalistic standards went out the window to be first to be wrong.

Is this a new trend in reporting? Finding out facts, THEN publishing an accurate story?
I certainly hope so!
Mercedes, thanks so much for going to Gary, asking a question and telling us what he really said with no interpretations from between the lines.
I hope others with whom you work will take notice and follow your example.
